When Celia Rollan was 12, after school, she started sewing in the back of a shop with some grandmas. They taught her how to sew, read patterns and how to drink Cava with pasta every Thursday. At the age of 17 as soon as Celia finished school, she took on the biggest adventure of her life and embarked on a move to London to study Art and Design for a year at Camberwell College, which lead her to go on and study at London College of Fashion, on their highly respected Pattern Cutting course. There she learnt how to creatively think and how to transform chaotic ideas into clean patterns.

During and after university, Celia worked in Italy for international clients such as Dior, Moncler, Attico and Uma Wang among others under JATO’S company. She was later offered the opportunity to show her final year uni collection in Palo Alto Market, Barcelona, initially with the idea of exhibiting only, but people were eager to buy, so she began sales, in order to fund her ongoing artistic projects.This is how, with a lot of effort, celia was able to improvise a mini studio in her room in London and created her first personal project, El Patio De Mi Casa Es Particular.

“I am very glad to say that I am surrounded by very inspirational people from all different backgrounds and practicing very different disciplines. I love to share a moment and participate with my friends to create something beautiful. Creating, researching and learning is my thing. I love color, sound and smell. I am sensorial and very emotional. My mom says that my heart is like chewing gum.”
